Frequently Asked Questions
1. What makes Mana Waha Mouthguards different?
We know the common struggles with standard mouthguards - they’re uncomfortable, fall out, make it hard to talk, and don’t provide the best protection. We’re here to fix that. We offer a professionally custom-fitted mouthguard, designed for maximum comfort, fit, and safety.
We also are coming around schools, clubs, tournaments and open days to make it simple, cheaper and easier access for you.
2. How do I order MY mouthguard?
If you're ordering for yourself, head to our homepage and book an Individual fitting. We run regular open days and nights in Auckland and Waikato — just pick a time that suits you. If you're booking for a team, club, school or group, click on the Group button and tell us your preferred date. We'll then send you a custom link so everyone can place their order easily.
3. How long does it take to receive my mouthguard?
Once your impression is taken, our average turnaround time is 5 working days for individual fittings. Need it faster for a big game coming up? Let us know — we’ll do our best to make it happen! For larger school or club orders, please allow 1–2 weeks. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on your location.
4. Can I personalize my mouthguard?
Yes! We offer a range of colors, lettering and designs to make your mouthguard all YOU. Have a look at our gallery for some ideas. When you come for your impression, you can look at our samples and tell us what you’re after. We’ll work with you. It takes all of a few minutes to kōrero about what you want. It’s fun too! Customisation is an ‘add on’ product - $20 each mouthguard.
5. How do I clean and care for my mouthguard?
Rinse your mouthguard with cold water after each use and store it in the ventilated case we provide. Avoid hot water, as it can warp the shape. For a deeper clean, use mild soap and a toothbrush.
6. What sports require a mouthguard?
Mouthguards are strongly recommended for any contact or collision sport including rugby, league, boxing, MMA, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, and more. They help protect against serious injuries to the teeth, gums, and jaw, and even reduces the risk of concussion.
For us, it’s not just about ticking the safety box — it’s about looking after our whānau on the field. Whether you're a rangatahi starting out or a seasoned athlete, a custom-fit mouthguard helps keep you safe, confident, and in the game longer. Your hauora matters.
7. Do you offer bulk or team discounts?
Yes! Our standard custom-fitted mouthguard is $150. We often run promos — so if you have a code, don’t forget to use it at checkout.
For schools, clubs, and teams, we offer discounted group rates and we come to you:
10+ mouthguards: $135 each
20+ mouthguards: $125 each
8. It’s a bit expensive, can i pay in installments?
YĀe/yes! We offer buy now, pay later, with Afterpay. Simply select Afterpay at the Stripe checkout.
9. HOW DO I PAY?
